The agreement includes several activities related to the installation and development of a system with financial assistance from TEIN*CC, Applicant/co-Applicants, and NORDUnet. The activities include appointing support staff, procuring a server farm, installing and configuring the system, appointing and developing female engineers, providing capacity development for NREN and university engineers, sponsoring internships for female students, and arranging visits for female engineers.
This section stated the financial requirements for the project. All expenses had to be reasonable, justified, and comply with sound financial practices. NORDUnet or TEIN*CC/BdREN could deduct financial support if expected deliverables were not achieved. Parties had to keep appropriate records and submit them to the financial contact point. Expenses could not be incurred in the name of NORDUnet/BdREN without prior written agreement. Payments were made in EUR (€).
BdREN was in charge of providing co-Applicants with financial support for a range of project-related activities, such as capacity building workshops and internships. In addition, they installed and configured servers for themselves, assisted TEIN*CC with server buying, created job descriptions specifically for female engineers, and coordinated internships for female students. For NORDUnet to pay the expenditures, BdREN generated monthly reports and bills with accompanying documentation, subject to revision based on the receivable from BdREN. They also carried out additional tasks that were listed in the primary contract.
LEARN acted as co-Applicant and supported TEIN*CC in the procurement, installation, and customization of two servers. They also arranged capacity development programs for 10 NREN and university engineers and internships for 2 female interns for 6 months and 5 interns for 3 months. LEARN produced monthly reports and invoices for NORDUnet and the Principal Investigator. They performed other activities as defined in the main contract to cooperate with the Principal Investigator.
NREN helped with server procurement, installed and configured one server, recruited a female engineer, arranged capacity development programs and internships, and provided monthly reports and invoices. All payments were made to NREN's designated bank account.
DrukREN supported TEIN*CC as a co-applicant by creating server requirements, helping with the purchase, and installing one server. Additionally, they altered the job requirements and hired a female engineer for a one to two year stint. They also organized internships for 7 female students and capacity building programs for 10 NREN and university engineers, in addition to carrying out any other tasks included in the principal contract. They were in charge of generating monthly reports and invoices, as well as collecting payments from BdREN and NORDUnet.
LERNET will hire a female engineer for a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years, arrange internships for two female interns for six months, and provide monthly attendance reports to NORDUnet and the project's principal investigator. LERNET will also produce invoices and supporting documents for NORDUnet to pay expenses related to sponsored activities.
CamREN was responsible for customizing the job specification for the female engineer, arranging internships for two female interns, and performing other activities as defined in the main contract. They provided monthly reports on attendance and submitted invoices with supporting documents for NORDUnet to pay expenses. All payments from NORDUnet were made to a specified bank account.
NORDUnet will act as the chief collaborator and financer of the project. They will allocate on-prem Zoom licenses to different NRENs and provide technical support for the project. NORDUnet will also arrange mentors to guide the female engineers and pay allowances for female engineers and interns. The cost for support of female engineers will be disbursed in two slots, and the cost for internship will be paid as soon as the interns are recruited. Travel costs will be reimbursed to the female engineer attending the conference, provided they produce all related documents.
This article states that both parties are prohibited from disclosing or using any confidential information related to TEINCC's customers or business, financial, or other affairs of TEINCC or its customers, unless authorized by TEIN*CC or required by law.
The agreement could be terminated immediately for a material breach that cannot be remedied. The other parties could terminate it immediately without compensation for continuous breaches, serious misconduct, damage or discredit, insolvency, or non-existence of the main contract and it would not affect accrued rights or liabilities or any provision intended to continue in force.
Deliverables were produced by each party and the main contract. Required information on project implementation was provided by each party to the Principal Investigator and NORDUnet. Quarterly reports were submitted, covering implementation, difficulties, changes, results, and indicators and they were collected and consolidated by BdREN, including feedback, benefits, relevant reports, and updates, and were submitted in the currency and language of the Agreement. Monthly updates on project progress were provided by BdREN. All project deliverables could be shared with the TEIN community.
Equipment and services needed for the project implementation followed the procurement rules stated in the PRAG.
