TEIN*CC accepted the BeLISAC project proposed by BdREN at the 5th call for proposals at the Asi@Connect project
The BeLISAC Project was awarded by TEIN*CC as follows:
- The European Commission and TEIN*CC have entered into an agreement (Grant Contract ACA 2016/376-562, below "the Grant") for TEIN*CC to manage the Asi@Connect project in the Asia Pacific region for a period of 60 months starting in September 2016 and later extended by another 24 months.
- The National Research and Education Network of Bangladesh (BdREN), together with DrukREN, LEARN, and NREN as co-applicants, CamREN and LERNET as beneficiary nations, and NORDUnet as the principal collaborator and financier, sought to develop a platform. By leveraging digital conferencing facilities, the platform is anticipated to make use of TEIN network resources and produce broad societal advantages through e-learning and information exchange.
- The TEIN*CC authorized BdREN's proposed project on January 31, 2022, with the name "Building e-Learning Infrastructure in South-Asian Countries under TEIN network [BeLISAC]".
- Between TEIN*CC and BdREN, a contract TEIN*CC Ref: Asi@Connect-22-024, referred to as the "Main Contract" below, has been signed to carry out the project's goals with the specified actions set out in the contract.
